October 8  MORNING Guild Meeting 9:30 am  FPC – “Confessions of an ADD Quilter”- Lecture by Jan Cunningham.  Jan presents a lecture including fifty of her quilts, including five made by her grandmother in the 1930’s. The purpose of her lecture is to encourage quilters to think creatively and use their imagination.   The ADD means Alters Designs Differently, using common quilting designs and just changing part of it to make it uniquely her own. She changes the settings, the colors, the block size, etc. Most of her quilts are examples of this technique.   Jan has won many awards in local and national shows, and her work has been published in magazines and the AQS calendar.  Her favorite technique is Sharon Schamber’s machine appliqué and many of Jan’s winning quilts feature this technique.  Jan thinks that quilting should be fun and her lectures are always entertaining.  Download her Bio here…..Jan Cunningham Bio
