August 21  NO NIGHT MEETING

August 28  Medallion Bee 10:00 am until ?  FPC –  Meeting in the room behind the Tartan Hall kitchen.  If you would like to make a medallion quilt, or ANY DESIGN OF YOUR OWN, this is your chance for great guidance.  Plus, watching other quilt designs grow are inspiration and education.    Bring your current medallion or other UFO(s), your ideas, and/or your questions/problems.  Also, bring your own lunch and a drink.  Sewing machine and tools not necessary.  This is an opportunity not to be missed.  Hope to see you there.

September 7  Block of the Month Bee 10am – ???  SHLC – If you are working on a BOM, BOW or BOD or if you want some suggestions or ideas, you can jump right in.   Bring your sewing machine and tools, your lunch and a drink.

September 8  RAG Bee  10am – 3pm  WMFD – Applique focused group meeting around 10 am and leaving around 3 pm.  Hosting is done by the members living in the meeting area, but of course anything delicious is always welcomed.

The Log Cabin pattern just may not have been of American origin after all!  Learn how this pattern was done on the Isle of Man before 1850. This was likely the first quilt-as-you-go pattern and may become your next favorite portable project!  Note: this class often results in large quilts made over a period of time but the kit will cover four blocks to get you started. $30 workshop fee includes the Kit. Print Student instructions:  Pepper Cory Handout

September 19 EVENING Pepper Cory Workshop 6:00pm-9:00pm WMFD – Introduction to Sashiko ,traditional Japanese hand quilting.
