Bees

Hand Quilting Queen Bees

Meets at the Shriners Building on Bethel Church Road every Monday & Friday. 9:30am-12pm. Contact Hester Able if you are interested in joining.


Uncommon Thread

Meets the last Saturday of every month at 10am at the ERC. Contact Marilyn Seibring or Mary Krishnamurty if you are interested in joining.


Applique Bee

Meets every Wednesday at 10am at the NC Cooperative Extension Agency on Thomas Heights Road. Contact Hester Able if you are interested in joining.


Fumble Bees and Sew & Sew

Information coming soon.


Round Robin

Group of 5 or 6 (closed group-once you join, just those 6 participate): Each participant starts with a center square and the others in the group take turns adding borders-you end up with a medallion type quilt. The group decides the exact rules.


Row Robbin

Same as the Round Robin but done in rows instead.


Block Robin

Each member chooses a group of fabrics and members take turns making a block each month for another member of the group, similar to the Shoebox clubs some of the quilt shops have had.


Crazy Quilt

Open group-as many as wish to join: Group talks about and shares crazy quilt techniques and each person makes whatever they wish to make. Group may decide to have each member teach or demo a technique each month.


Dear Jane

Open group-group makes, shares, discusses blocks from the DEAR JANE book, each person makes what they would like. Meets on the 4th Wednesday of each month from 1-4pm in Room 125 at the Jackson County Senior Center.


Baltimore Album

Open group-same as above, making Baltimore Album blocks, again group could decide to take turns with teaching or demo-ing a technique.


Paper Piecing

Open or closed. Just meet and work on your own projects, have someone instruct and help you get started. OR exchange blocks.


The Farmer's Wife Sampler

Open group. Group makes, shares, discusses blocks from the The Farmer's Wife Sampler book, each person makes what they would like.
